SEVENTH MOVEMENT – BATTAGLIA

WAR AND REVOLUTION

“We are not going to achieve a New World Order without paying for it in blood as well as words and money.”

—Arthur Schlesinger Jr., US historian

The Business of War

In his excellent script for the movie Patton, Francis Ford Coppola quoted the outspoken general when he observed his army pouring into Germany: “Compared to war, all other forms of human endeavor shrink to insignificance.” He was quite correct, and he might also have said that compared to war, all other business shrinks to insignificance.

When nations go to war, they must borrow enormous sums of money from international banks at high interest in order to field armies and equip them. Then they spend this borrowed money with its high-interest tag on munitions. The munitions companies often are run by the very same groups of men who lent the money to governments in the first place. In other words, they get their money right back by selling munitions at vastly inflated prices for great profits, and the governments still are required to pay them that same amount of borrowed money, plus the interest.

It’s not difficult to realize then, that warfare is a tremendous boon to the small cabal of men who control the banks and the munitions factories. Since many of these men are members in secret societies like the CFR and Bilderbergers, and clearly have great influence on the policies of governments, is it not in their interests to promulgate warfare?

Armed conflict has many advantages for a small ruling class that wishes to increase its power and wealth, in addition to the enormous profits realized. War is a control system. The Report from Iron Mountain cited earlier in this book flatly states that war is the supreme social organizing force. It allows governments to impose new laws that reduce personal freedom with the acceptance of the population which feels that all citizens, rich and poor, are in an emergency situation. This creates a false sense of bonding between the poor, the middle class and the oligarchy — a feeling that everyone is in this trouble together. It also creates the impression that these new, freedom-reducing enactments are temporary.

Americans need only look to the results of 9/11 and their acceptance of extraordinary governmental abilities to interfere in their lives through legislation like the Patriot Act. This was intended to be a temporary situation, but as the “War on Terror” completes its first full decade of existence, so does the Patriot Act. An intriguing story indicates that this could have been premeditated.

Film and TV producer Aaron Russo was welcomed into the sanctum of powerful oligarchs like Nicholas Rockefeller, owing to his great successes with the films The Rose and Trading Places and the TV series, Wise Guys. This was despite Russo’s anti-globalist documentary, Mad as Hell.

Russo’s friendship with the banking elite ended when Nicholas Rockefeller divulged certain plans nearly a year prior to 9/11. According to Russo, “He said to me one night, he said, ‘There’s going to be
